While it is absolutely certain that changes are going to be made when a book is adapted to film; there are still reasons that show the book was chosen for the film treatment for a reason. Most of the time that ends up

The official synopsis has been revealed for the film version of World War Z starring Brad Pitt, and lets just say that it is draatically different from what those that read the book know.

Essentially they have taken the character of Gerry Lane played by Pitt and turned him into a vigilante zombie killer instead of a researcher and analyst. Thats a huge change if Ive ever heard one, but only time will tell if it is going to end up working out for the best.
The film stars Pitt along with Mireille Enos, Anthony Mackie, James Badge Dale, Bryan Cranston, and more. Those in the New Orleans area will be able to pre-order their tickets here for World War Z when the release date of December 21, 2012 draws closer.
